Dr. Kenneth Huggins , DVM

Dr. Huggins graduated from Kansas State University in 1966. He is married to Carol, has three children, and six grandchildren. He enjoys fishing, hunting and hiking. Dr. Huggins is the former owner of Stanley Veterinary Hospital. |

Dr. Pelfrey is a 1991 graduate of Kansas State University. He is married to Amy and has four children. Dr. Pelfrey took ownership of the clinic in July of 2003. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and tending to his cows.

View | A native Kansan, Dr. Claussen grew up in the Overland Park/Olathe area, graduating from Olathe South High School. From there, she went on to Kansas State University, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science before graduating with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
After college, she left the area to join a large 10-doctor practice in Arlington Heights, Il, where she practiced for six months before relocating back to the Kansas City area. Once back home, Dr. Claussen did some relief work before settling into full-time practice at the Stanley Veterinary Clinic in August 2001.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, needlework/sewing, going to KSU football games, baking, and photography. She and her husband Verne have two Abyssinian cats, Abby and Rambo, that they adopted several years ago from Animal Haven.

Dr. Bucher graduated from Kansas State University in 2003. She is married to Jason and has three children. Her pets include Speedo (Whippet), Sabra (Red Heeler), Oscar (Siamese cross) and Izzy (Siamese cross).
Jeremiah Nilges Dr. Nilges was born in Garnett and raised in Overbrook, Kansas. He received his undergraduate and D.V.M. degrees from Kansas State University. He graduated from veterinary school in May 2005. Dr. Nilges has special interest in soft-tissue surgery and ocology. Jeremiah and his wife Miranda have one child. In his spare time, Jeremiah likes following sports (especially K-State!). He enjoys fishing, playing softball, and spending time with family and friends. They have two dogs, Cairo and Avery.

Julie has a seven-year-old pit bull, Ella. She is the reason Julie became interested in the field of veterinary medicine. Ella was diagnosed with epilepsy at 10 months old. After many visits to the clinic because of her dog's condition, Julie was offered a job. Seven years later, she is still in the field and loves it.
Julie also has two black Labradors, Brodie and Sasha. They were adopted from a rescue in Missouri.
Julie also works at a local rescue called "The Pet Connections" where she assists with low cost spays and neuters. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, watching sports (especially KU basketball and football!), and spending time with her dogs and family. Julie has one niece and three nephews who live close by.

Lisa has two daughters. The oldest is attending college at the University of Columbia in Chicago, majoring in theater. Her other daughter is currently at K-State and majoring in education.
In addition to Stanley Vet. Clinic, Lisa also works at a local rescue where she assists with low cost spays and neuters. In her spare time she works on a business degree, keeps busy with her house, and enjoys being with friends.
Lisa has three cats; Squeekers 9yrs., Tabatha 9yrs., and Sampson, 3 yrs. She also has two dogs; Brutus 2 year old Chihuahua Mix and Tedward 1 1/2 year old Yorkiepoo.
Shauna Waltz Shauna has one daughter, McKenzie. She loves spending time with her and watching her play at her soccer games. Shauna also has a boyfriend, Mike. She hopes to go to nursing school in the future.
Shauna's pets include; Duke (Irish Setter), Chrissy (Siamese), Bum (Domestic Shorthair), Andre (Boxer), and Meow (Domestic Longhair).

John loves spending time with his soulmate, Dawn. They have one son, Matthew. They currently do not have any pets. John is a NASCAR, KC Chiefs, KC Royals fan. Both he and Dawn love Playstation 2, Grand Tarismo, Driver etc. |

Tammy Kristal Schrag Kristal has been married to Bill for 9 years. They have one daughter, Madison who is 8. Kristal has three sisters and one brother. She earned a degree in accounting at Kansas City Community College. She has been working in the veterinary field for 13 years. She also is employed at an antique store in Greenwood, MO.
Their pets include; Mia (2 year old Chihuahua), Joe Joe (Chihuahua Mix puppy) and Jack (7 year old kitty).
Her hobbies include: cooking and baking, antiquing, bike riding, hiking, fishing, bow hunting (but not the animals), ATV riding, and horseback riding.
Kristal says she is a pet's best friend!

She just recently go married in June 2007 and they had their first daughter in March 2007.

Heather Zimmerann

Heather lives with Ginger the cat and her 4 standard poodles: Savre', Sesalie, Wilson, and Cydlee. Heather has groomed in the Missouri/Shawnee area for 15 years and has been breeding and exhibiting poodles for over 17 years. She founded the Mo-Kan Poodle Rescue in 1992 and has dedicated her life to this breed. She fosters dogs for LL Dog Rescue. Bichons and Poodles are her specialty although she loves all breeds. |
